| 7-2011 Botox for Depression Research Study: Michelle Magid, MD and Jason Reichenberg MD are currently recruiting patients to determine whether botox treatment can help symptoms of depression in patients who appear depressed (testing the facial feedback hypothesis). Study funded by grant through NARSAD. Inclusion criteria: Unipolar depression Age 18-65 3 psychiatric medications or less not pregnant, no previous botox "the look" of depression (e.g. furrowed brow, anguished appearance in forhead) Please refer patients to Seton Mind Institute (512-324-3380) or have them e-mail botoxfordepression@gmail.com to set up a screening appointment. |
